- Chest pain, which is known as angina
- Irregular heartbeat
- Shortness of breath
Treatments Options for coronary heart disease
There are various treatment options for coronary heart disease like:
- Medication with proper diet and exercise
- Stents and Balloon angioplasty
- Bypass Surgery CABG
- Beating heart surgery or off-pump surgery
- Arrested heart surgery or traditional bypass surgery
Coronary artery bypass graft surgery (CABG), also known as heart bypass or open heart surgery is a procedure where a healthy blood vessel (artery or vein) from arm, chest or leg is used to bypass narrowed coronary arteries to restore normal blood flow to the heart muscles. It is done when medications have failed to relieve the symptoms and there are multiple blockages in more than one artery and angioplasty is not a good option.
